Comedy and hypnotics on weekend schedule at CVI

Richard Anthony and Genie Trefz bring their unique comedy hypnosis act to the Carson Valley Inn's Shannon Ballroom on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. They are the first hypnosis show ever to feature both a male hypnotist and a female hypnoteuse on stage together in "theme style" shows.

"The Exotic Hypnotics" is based on a trip through the world of "Playboy and Playgirl." The skits are cleverly written, and on the risqué side, but they never cross the line to "raunchy." Stage volunteers imagine all sorts of wild things when the pair gives suggestions. Celebrities like Madonna, Sharon Stone, Julia Roberts, and Elvis show up. Stage volunteers demonstrate the real power of the mind and imagination.

Tickets for "The Exotic Hypnotics" are $15 in advance through the Inn's Gift Shop (775/783-7708). Tickets are $18 after Feb. 9 or at the door.

The Carson Valley Inn Hotel/Casino/RV Resort is located on Highway 395 in Minden, near the junction of Highway 88.
