Located in the heart of Kensington's Antiques District, just minutes from the Capital Beltway, Dunkley's Antiques offers high-quality, personalized service in a relaxed, down-to-earth atmosphere.
Woodworking, refinishing, recaning, and reupholstering are just some of the expert services offered by Bill Dunkley to his patrons, each of whom he gets to know as a friend.
Bill uses his years of experience and his well-equipped, on-site workshop/studio, to repair or enhance your valued antique furniture to your specifications. If you need to match a color of woodstain on a table leaf, need a new back put on an 8-foot armoire, or need the sagging seat of a chair recaned, Bill Dunkley has the tools and experience needed to do the job to your satisfaction.
In addition to repair & refinishing services, Dunkley's Antiques offers a varied selection of antique furniture for sale. With a large and ever-changing inventory on display at all times, collectors and "window shoppers" alike are sure to enjoy wandering the no-frills (thus very reasonably priced) showroom floor.
To reach Dunkley's Antiques from the Capital Beltway, take the Connecticut Avenue exit toward Kensington. Follow Connecticut Ave. north for approx. 1 mile, then turn left at the intersection with Knowles Avenue. Take the first right (very close), then the first left onto Howard Avenue. Dunkley's Antiques will be on your left a short way down the road.
(Note: you can turn left directly onto Howard Ave. from Connecticut Ave., but the turn can be difficult in heavy traffic.)
